bettereads

In this project, I developed a prototype called betterreads – a comprehensive redesign of the Goodreads app. The goal was to significantly improve usability and give the interface a cleaner, more modern look.

The prototype enhances navigation and user flow, making the app more intuitive and easier to use. With a minimalist and uncluttered design, content becomes more accessible and enjoyable to explore. betterreads demonstrates how a streamlined layout and thoughtful design can elevate the reading experience for book lovers.

I started by analyzing the Goodreads app to identify usability issues and define opportunities for new features. Based on these insights, I developed a new visual identity – including a custom color palette and logo design for the app.

Based on the initial analysis and feature planning, I created detailed wireframes to define the structure and flow of the app. These wireframes focused on key user tasks – such as discovering new books, tracking reading progress, and managing personalized book lists. Special attention was given to simplifying complex navigation patterns and reducing visual noise.
